I love Halloween parties! They don't need to be scary to plan!
I've planned a lot of Halloween parties and I have a Party-in-a-Box all ready to go. Here's some of the games in my box that I've used for class parties, large church groups or scouts.
Bingo
Classic bingo game. You can usually find cheap ones in party stores, dollar stores or online.
Monster Mash
Painted cans with monster faces stacked into a pyramid and knocked down bowling style.
*ALSO pictured in the top back is the Pumpkin Stack
Foam pumpkins from the dollar store. See who can stack the most before it falls over.
Pumpkin Toss
Beanbag pumpkins thrown into 3 different buckets. I made the pumpkin beanbags, but to simplify - any beanbag would work.
Spider Slide
Pipe cleaner and pompom spiders. Slide spiders to the bullseye.
Popcorn Plunge
Way more hygienic than bobbing for apples. With hands behind their back they have to eat a bowl of popcorn and try to finish first.
Pumpkin Dive
Fill a pumpkin with lots of pumpkin guts. Add some fake cockroaches and 25 pennies. See who can find the most pennies in a certain amount of time. This one's the best! It's a good idea to put a plastic table cloth beneath it.
Eyeball Roll
Cups are arranged like a classic "pong" game. Bounce the eyeballs on the table first and get them to land in the cups. We usually make it a race and have 2 players go at a time. Eyeballs are from the dollar store - but Ping-Pong balls would work - just draw an eyeball on it.
Another super fun idea I did when my kids were little was a
PROGRESSIVE HALLOWEEN PARTY!
This is really the way to do it! With 4-6 families in the neighborhood, we would throw a party which involved each house only doing one part of it. There was a craft, a spooky snack that they made, a game, a cookie to decorate and eat, a story, and costume awards. We put the kids into groups of about 5-6 (or whatever is manageable) and they would rotate between the houses. The party would last a couple hours usually and you only had groups for half that time. My kids absolutely loved it!
Happy Haunting!
