When my son was asked to chick-pick, I knew the answer needed to be epic ... and messy!
We grew a couple large pumpkins. Not your average jack-o-lantern variety, but grande. We cut it open, scraped it and then filled it with the guts of about 5 other pumpkins...to...the...top! This was one heavy pumpkin! He dropped it at her porch with a sign, "your answer is in the pumpkin." And she started digging.
About 15 minutes later he delivered a second, smaller pumpkin with the word -YES- carved into it and a note that read, "Sorry, wrong pumpkin."
It was classic! We knew we had nailed it when he got a text from Maya, "I hate you!" She was a total trooper and a super fun date!
It's the Halloween season. Have fun. Get messy!
